President – Zoe Madaschi

Zoe has been a member of Berkeley Netball club for many years starting out as a player in one of the clubs Netta teams at the age of 6. Throughout her years as a player at Berkeley Netball Club, Zoe, has played in ‘A’ grade teams, Coached  and been an umpire.

Zoe has truly dedicated herself to the Berkeley Netball Club and has made a significant impact over the years! Her involvement in every aspect of the club—from playing to coaching to umpiring—demonstrates a deep commitment to the sport and the community. Being the club president on top of all that speaks to her leadership and passion for the game.

Zoe has been coaching for over 10 years having led teams to win premierships and continues to develop her knowledge as a coach to better the skills and abilities of our members. In the past Zoe has been the Clubs Umpires Convenor using her knowledge, as a National C Badge umpire, to help train and develop confident umpires within the club.

Zoe is our club president and netball is one of Zoe’s passions in life which can clearly be seen in her dedication to following the mighty NSW swifts.

Vice President – Holly Madaschi

Holly has been a member of the club for many years starting as a young 5 year old and is now a senior player and umpire. Holly moved from the club to play higher levels, have a family and study but has now returned to the club she calls home.

In her previous years at the club she was a player, umpire and coach. As a player she has won premierships for Berkeley especially throughout junior grades.
Holly has represented IDNA from ages 12-21 in the State Age and State representative Illawarra teams. As an umpire she achieved her national C badge at a young age which allowed her to umpire at State Age Championships. Holly then progressed to earn her National B badge for umpiring as well as being a part of the IDNA umpire committee for a number of years.

Her family have always had an association with Berkeley Netball Club and she feels like she has come home to Berkeley where her love of netball started. This continues not only at Berkeley but with her obsession of the NSW Swifts.

Coaches Convenor – Anne Adams

Anne joined Berkeley Netball Club in 1969 and became a life member in 1990. Anne joined the club as a player rising through the ranks as an ‘A’ Grade player and being selected in the Illawarra Representative teams from the age of 11.

Anne began coaching and managing both club and Illawarra Representative teams from the age of 17, guiding these teams through to premiership wins across many grades and placing top 5 in the Championship Division of the State Age and State Championship representative competitions.

Over the years Anne has coached players that have moved on to play in the NSW State teams and various Australian teams. Anne has also volunteered her time as an umpire at both club and representative levels being awarded her National C umpiring badge.

As the Coaches Convenor, Anne continues to dedicate her time to developing Berkeley Netball Club and supporting Coaches to develop their skills and knowledge.

Secretary -Gerry Evry

Gerry has been a member of Berkeley Netball Club for 50 years, becoming a life member in 1994. Throughout her involvement with the Club she has been a player, coach and umpire, mentoring both junior and senior umpires.

Gerry joined the Berkeley Netball Club Committee in 1978 as secretary and has held this position for more than 40 years completing all the clubs administrative duties essential to the clubs ongoing operation.

Gerry is also a member of the Illawarra District Netball Association’s
committee, performing the role of secretary. As a long term volunteer for the association her expertise on the constitution, by-laws, rules and regulations make her a respected member of, not only, Berkeley Netball Club but IDNA.

Gerry volunteers countless hours liaising between IDNA and Berkeley Netball club, organising and filing forms with Netball NSW and supporting our club members.

Treasurer – Robyne Tanner

Robyne was introduced to Berkeley Netball club in 2010 by her niece who played in one of Berkeley’s junior teams. Watching her niece’s games had reignited a great passion she had for netball that had been forgotten.

In 2011 Robyne took up a coaching position with Berkeley Netball Club taking an 11D team which she took through to the grand final, of which the team claimed the premiership. Robyne continues to work with this team who are now senior players.

Robyne took on the role of Treasurer in 2012 and has proven to be a valued member of the Berkeley Netball Club committee looking after the finances of the club, applying for grants to benefit our members and supporting our members through the registration process.

Media Officer – Jaimi Adams

Jaimi has been a member of the club for over 20 years, starting her netball career as a player in the Little Legends Netta team. Over her years as a player Jaimi has played in junior and intermediate ‘A’ Grade teams, winning multiple premierships, as well as playing at Premier League level, representing Illawarra at Night Inter-District Competitions and currently plays in one of our club’s senior teams.

Jaimi has been umpiring since 13 years of age representing Illawarra as an umpire at various State Age and State Championship competitions and has achieved her National C umpire badge.

Jaimi has coached junior teams and has used her skills and knowledge as a player to help coaches in developing their teams in different areas across the court.

Jaimi joined the Committee, officially, in 2020 as the Media Officer looking to help promote the club and more effectively communicate and engage with our members and local community.

Fundraising Coordinator – Kim Nguyen

Kim has been a member of Berkeley Netball Club for over 25 years. Over Kim’s netball career she has been a member of various ‘A’ Grade teams, currently a member of the A2 Titans team, as well as playing at Premier League level.

Kim’s interest in netball has flowed over into the area of umpiring of which she has volunteered her time to support the club and ensure that games could go ahead. Further to this Kim has dedicated her time to coaching our club teams for over 10 years developing her knowledge further having been involved in club grading selections, Illawarra Representative selections as well as selecting and coaching the Department of Education South Coast Secondary Schools Representative team for a number of years.

Kim lends her skills as a teacher to the club as our Fundraising Coordinator facilitating and organising our fundraiser events so that the club can provide new equipment, support our members and continue to provide facilities to our members.

Committee Member- Dale Johnson

Dale has been a member of Berkeley Netball Club for over 50 years.

Dale’s mother was one of the founding members of Berkeley Netball Club and Dale and her family have been continuously involved in promoting the club and keeping the club alive. Dale has been a player, coach and umpire over her years of involvement with the club and has used her knowledge to further the club and ensure that it continues to be a part of the Illawarra District Netball Competition for years to come.

Dale volunteers her time to fundraising to provide much needed funds and equipment for the benefit of our members and the administration of the club.

Umpires Convenor- Jasmine Markovski

Jasmine has been a member of Berkeley Netball Club for over 15 years, starting out as a player in one of the junior teams. She is now involved in the club as a senior player, umpire, and coach. Jasmine has been umpiring since 2014, and in that time she put in the effort to obtain her National C Badge. She is the current umpires convenor for the club, and has been in this role since 2023. She shares her knowledge of umpiring with the up-and-coming umpires of the club, and guides them in having a strengthened understanding of the application of the rules and developing their confidence. Jasmine has coached for close to 5 years. As a coach, she has been able to share her deep knowledge of the sport with the players and develop their abilities as athletes. She looks forward to continuing her journey as a member of Berkeley Netball Club.

Committee Member- Ashley Aish

Ashley began playing netball in 2009 at the age of nine and is currently a dedicated member of her senior team. Her love for the game has led her to take on multiple roles within the club over the years.

She started umpiring in 2014 and proudly earned her National C Badge in 2022. In 2023, Ashley expanded her involvement by stepping into a coaching role. Beyond the court, she’s an active club contributor—regularly supporting fundraising efforts, sharing fresh ideas, and helping the umpire convenor train and mentor new umpires.

Most recently, Ashley has taken steps to join the club committee, continuing her commitment to the sport and community she’s passionate about.
